Welcome 2012. Since the holidays are done, all the Christmas decorations are taken down and put away the house is looking bare. Which is a good thing because I've got home Reno on the brain these days.
Craig has been too, yesterday he changed the door handle on the kitchen door leading into the porch, he even changed the screened door handle that has been broke since October i do believe. We even went to home depot and he bought a new faucet for the bathroom sink since he broke the cold handle off. We even looked at flooring for the kitchen, tub surround for the bathroom, new ceiling fans for the bedrooms and the list goes on and on.
So last night i went and put up paint chips in the master bedroom, the bathroom and some around the kitchen.
Since we changed rooms with Kane and we no longer have the chocolate brown room we have been going through alot of ideas for the master.
So far we think we are gonna paint it Beige. We want something relaxing but brighter than what we have now.....crappy green.
As you can tell our bedroom is pretty bland and boring. Its time for a more adult space.
Here is the swatches of beige we liked and placed on the wall to see in all lights through the day. So far i think the paint swatch Craig picked called Desert Castle might be the winner because we both like it. Your probably thinking beige how boring, but I'm thinking tranquil and relaxing. I will make up a bedroom inspiration board and post it later.
I'm also thinking about relocating this votive holder above our bed or maybe the guest room bed.
This is our bathroom. I must admit its come along way from what we had. but its not near finished. We did paint the walls in the buck white to brighten the space and get rid of the Tiffany blue. But now I'm thinking i want some colour.
I don't think i want the whole thing a bright colour, id love to install bead board wood panelling 3/4 of the way up the wall and paint it out white then use a nice teal or this great grey brown colour. Haven't decided yet. I will also do an inspiration post on the bathroom before i paint. And i do have a big post about the kitchen to do as we will be buying new flooring and doing some re arranging of appliances and cabinets. YAY. perfect way to start the year.
